Step 1: Base

Crusher run, 6 to 8 inches, with about 15 percent compaction. Measure length x width x base depth in inches / 324 for cubic yards, then add compaction and waste.

Step 2: Surface

Crushed stone #57, 2 to 4 inches, with about 10 percent compaction.

Step 3: Total

Add waste to each layer, then add the layers for total tons and cost. Before delivery, ask about truck access, the delivery fee, and the minimum order.
