Cubic Feet to Yards Calculator
Gravel Calculator
Volume = length × width × depth. 1 cubic yard = 27 cubic feet. Tons depend on material density, so the density used is shown in the result.
Estimate only. Density varies by quarry and moisture. For large orders, confirm with your supplier's scale ticket. Delivery, minimum order and labour are usually extra.
Volume hub: measure the area, pick the depth, and get cubic feet and cubic yards. 1 cubic yard = 27 cubic feet.
How it works
Cubic yards = length x width x depth in inches / 324. Multiply the cubic yards by 27 to get cubic feet.
Worked example
A bed 10 x 20 ft at 3 inches deep: (10 x 20 x 3) / 324 = 1.85 cubic yards = 50 cubic feet.
Next step
Send the volume to the gravel, concrete, mulch, or soil calculator for weight and cost.
Estimate only. Confirm with your supplier before ordering.
